Default Hot Tubs

Does anyone on here either own one, or know someone who has one ?

Is it a novelty item or is it an ongoing theraputic addition to one's life?

Cheers, Yve

I'd love a decent 4+ hot-tub in the garden. I'm sure it would cost a pretty penny to run though

I'll drop a quick email to my uncle as he's got a 4 person hot tub in the garden, If you don't keep it turned on all the time then I doubt it'll cost too much to run.

About £250-300/year to run.

We've been told about £3.50 per week. Its well insulated and keeps the water warm for several days without using the heater.

If it has a good private spot in the garden close to the house then you are much more likely to use it. They take 24 hrs to heat up so are usually left on 24/7. Costco are selling some with radios adn under water lights for 6kish plus VAT which are pretty good and seat 6 people. They run off 40 amps though so need an electrician to fit.

Why anyone would want to have a bath in the garden - with some friends- is beyond me. Just another vulgar American import imho.

My m8 bought one from cosco for 6k.

it seats 6 people, has all the gadgets - multicoloured leds, lounger seat, waterfall etc.

i fitted the supply for him - it needs a 32amp supply from an rcd, and i can vouch that its a fantastic gadget to have!!

Dog.

Good place to buy is Ideal home exhibition. Much cheaper there but you need to buy on the day to get the good prices. Not til next April either!

Me and the wife are looking at tubs just now,and i think its gonna be a Hotsprings one asalthough not the cheapest they seem to have the best warranty and back up.The biggest reason for me getting the spa is it saves me having to go to the Gym and alleviates the old back pain.
