Using N80 Abroad
Anyone used their N80 abroad yet?
Spent 10 days in Germany watching the world cup and the phone would not work all the time I was there. Just kept giving a SIM not activated message. International roaming is activated (just double checked with Orange).
Spoke to Orange who advised that there may be a problem with the phone connecting to the network - never had a problem with Orange abroad before.
Vodafone work phone worked fine over there (choice of 4 networks for Voda).
Guy at Orange told me if I wanted to to change phones I would have to buy out of the contract! Told him to get stuffed. If phone has a problem abroad then they need to change it to one that works.

Thanks guys....a search on the Nokia site seems to show that it is the 3g that is causing problems. If this is turned off then apparantly the phone will work OK. Guess I will find out when I go back to Germany next week.

Sorry,is it just me or are people gratuitously posting on here with feeble excuses about phone problems etc. just to get in references about how they happen to be in Germany watching the footy?!
