Default What a bloody nerve!

Almost THREE months ago I sold an overlocker on ebay to someone who paid instantly and left glowing feedback once they had received the item.

Today I get an email asking if I do refunds and if so could I please refund the money for the overlocker as they had purchased it as a gift for a friend. This friend has now has been given a "better" overlocker so doesn't need the one purchased from me.

I have given a polite refusal to the request.
What is it that makes these people believe that they can return an item because they don't "need it any more" just because they got it from ebay?

Have I missed some important news regarding ebay being a rental company rather than an auction site?

I'd reply saying yes you do - but then state that you'd charge a XXX handling fee. You can then resell on Ebay
