Default Stupid old tossers

The unelected imbeciles are obviously suffering from dementia.

Is it right to allow people who are terminally ill and in unbearable pain to be given drugs they could then use to end their life? I suggest it is. The Swiss and the Dutch think so too.

I thought this was a follow-up to your thread in Muppets, Suresh.

I expected the same two nominees.

Part of the proposal suggests-

"Only people with less than six months to live, who were suffering unbearably and were deemed to be of sound mind and not depressed would be able to end their life under Lord Joffe's proposal."

It is right,IMO.

i am a strong supporter of euthanasia and i strongly beleive that if someone is terminally ill nut still of sound mind, should be allowed to choose weather they wish to continue living or not.

If you've got less than six months and are suffering so much (unbearably in fact) that you wish to take your own life....how could you not be described as "depressed".

I'm pretty sure I'd be a bit low in spirits if I was in that situation!

Following your link, it now makes sense.

Except you're old and I'm not.

The Lords are nobody's fools. It is the first step towards compulsory euthanasia which would be so convenient to avoid the need for pensions any more! I also believe it to be morally wrong.
