1984 starts to become reality
Did anyone hear that story on the news tonight about the CCTV system that you can tune into at home.
Basically, you subscribe to the crime channel and you can watch local CCTV pictures and if you see a crime being committed you call the police.
Someone in Government is a genius. Not only are they getting members of the public to detect crime thus negating the need for both police officers and CCTV operators but they're also getting them to pay £7.50 per week for the privilege.

When i started to watch it i thought good idea, having thought about it - it justr goes to prove we do not have enough Police and deterrents are not in place.

They never seem to tackle the problem properly - more sticking plaster politics - what is it with the incompetant bunch of fcukwits.
Too busy playing hide the chipolata with the hired help in their offices to keep their piggy little eyes on the ball!

For those that want a link to find out more. I'm morally outraged.

Paul,
The real answer is that they are only interested in themselves and their obscene salaries, tax free allowances, and pensions.
The public are only required to vote them back into power so they will pretend to do great things on behalf of the electorate but conveniently forget to actually do it and when election time comes round they will tell what they did for us except that they did not really carry it out.
The electorate is the least of their concerns, why the hell should they actually do anything for the people?
