performance car share clubs in London?
Just had a guy pull up in a Lamborgini Gallardo next door to me
I asked him if it was his and he said - no - its part of a car share club run from Old Street called 'Equery - French word for stable....'
It costs £9k a year, you are limited to 5000 miles and 600 points - the more luxurious the more points - Lambo was 140 points for the weekend and he said he had a Cayenne last weekend for 80 points
Ok - so its steep - but think of the running costs, insurance and depreciation not to mention the nuisance factor of thinking someone might nick it if you had your own
I have just been trying to look this up on the net and cant find it - anyone know about it. Guy did talk about the Damon Hill P1 Club but laughed that this was ridiculously expensive compared to one he's in

That blip one looks almost too cheap - 350/month and you get 2500 points, and its only 40 points for a Lotus Exige per day, and max is 100 points for an Aston!
5000 miles per year max, and you can take the cars to Europe for no extra cost - for someone my age you'd probably pay 350/month insurance on something like an Aston - and then you'd probably only do 5000 miles a year in it max - and running costs, depreciation etc would be cronic!
To be honest if there was a club like that in Bristol I'd probably join for a year!

Had more of a look at all of them
Revo no good as they dont have a base in London
Blip - something just doesnt stack up on this and they dont even have a full terms and conditions leaflet - it just looks dodgy to me
Ecurie - I'm just printing off all their literature to see
Cruise express - I need to read this - but as kiwi states probably a No-Go
I do like the idea of Blip - I just wish they had more info on their site
I am also slightly worried that if places like Ecurie go bust then I lose my money - if I paid the annual 'upfront amount'
Blip also wack you on the insurance excess £2500 and if you kerb a wheel or have slight damage (kerbing a wheel is certainly likely as I do it all the time in the Scoob.) then they hit you at cost - how much for a Refurbed Ferari wheel £500??

Checked Ecurie also on insurance
Not clear on bumps/scrapes/kerbing - sounds like you pay
What I was amazed at was their excess - its worse than Blip
£5k excess on good cars
£4k on the Mid range
and £3k on the slower ones
So if I crash an Lotus (not that I'd be able to fit in one of these cars!) I'd have to pay a £3k excess which is too steep
That counts me out of Ecurie
I know the idea is not to crash...... but come on............ on normal insurance you dont have these sorts of excesses
