Sky HD pricing??
I am an existing Sky + customer with the World package costing £42.50 a month. Am I right in thinking that if I upgrade to Sky + HD then all I pay for is a new box? (£299). Do I get a £10 a month hike?
I'm not sure I'm reading the pricing structure right.
Craig.

Yes, I thought the HD Demo was very impressive indeed ........ WTF has that got to do with the price of Sky Packages??
You seem to get very mixed up when you see my name on a post! You need to get me out of your head - I affect you too much, it's NOT healthy!

You can get £100 off the price of the box if you get a Sony TV, but they only do 32" and 40" so I'm going for the new Toshiba 37" WTL66.
I really don't think they'd be offering the HD box for free anytime soon, how long has sky + be around and they still charge for that.

Sorry but i wouldn't be paying £300 for a HD box when there's less than 10HD channels, plus i have no plans to upgrade my Plasma to a HD version just for the purpose of Sky.
Personally i'd wait till it's more worth the money, or it comes down in price.

As I said above that is why companies like Talk Talk are giving away free broadband.
Within five years we will have HD media centres for the net, voice, content, the works. It will shift from big pipes into our houses with pay for usage content - with a lot of push content.
We will design our own TV channels - a mile away from simple timeshifting - and advertising revenue will be driven by click thru.
So Sky need to make their money now and all the others need to play catch up on the customer base front. Whoever owns the customer relationship will win the multimedia war.
Early adopters indeed - the paradigm has not even arrived yet!
