Need a cable, help on where stocks them...
I need a 6m composite audio/AV lead to go from the TV into my new convertX box which is connected to my pc on the other side of the room.
I have been to PCWorld, Currys, looked on line at Maplins and Richer Sounds and the longest I can find is a 3m cable in Maplins.
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...%20av&doy=28m4
Can you get longer or is it possible to link two together? I've just got the convertx box, a 320gb hard drive and all ready to start using my new toys and the one thing i'm short of is a poxy cable long enough to reach from the TV to the PC The alternative is a 6m usb cable if they exist?!

http://www.hometech.com/video/av.html (though you probably want something a little closer to home. You could try Sevenoaks Sound and Vision to see if they have any.
You could probably link two sets of cables together using female to female connectors, not sure how much it would effect the signal quallity though.
Similar thing for USB. You could get a 5M Active cable extender (listed on maplins site) and use that in conjunction with a 2 M extension cable to give you 7M in length.

Looking at houndcables, I found this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Joiner-Extende...QQcmdZViewItem
So you could join 2 sets together, or:
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/HoundCables...QQftidZ2QQtZkm
looks like you can get 2, 5, 10 and 15 meter lengths, so that might do you.

i was impatient as well until i seen average quality cables are £20-30 each, soon makes you think that you can wait. i bought 6 cables a component, subwoofer,s-video and 3 optical cables. price those up in the shops if you can find them as they were all good standard all 10m long as they have to routed under the floor
