Haven't seen many comedies recently, and I'm not a huge comdey fan, but anything by the Farrelly brothers is going to be good, IMO. I think there is one with Johnny Knoxville called The Ringer that is supposed to be funny.
Wedding Crashers was quite good.

It's not recent, but was re-released on DVD last year.
Mean Streets, directed by Martin Scorcesse with Harvey Keitel and Robert De Niro. Great film, one of my favourites.
Batman Begins is probably the best recent film I've seen in the last six months.

The Business I thought was one of the worst films I had ever seen, which is a shame as I like most of the stuff the cast had done before and a good director, but total toilet I thought and if the script took them more than half an hour to write I'll be amazed.

Lately I've seen:
Inside Man - quite good... entertaining but a bit too long at 2hrs10.
Syriana - better than I expected, I liked it.
Wallace & Grommit & were-rabbit - a good laugh, excellent animation. Not a huge fan (chicken run was a bit dull) but I did like this one.
Sympathy for Lady Vengeance - I loved it, but I'm a fan of Chanwook Park. Maybe not to everyone's taste... if you do like it, Oldboy and Mr Vengeance are worth seeing on DVD.
The Libertine - tedious.

Watched OldBoy on saturday night, quite good, and a little gory in places. Excellent true to life corridor fight scene
Batman Begins gets my vote as does 40 y/o Virgin, hilarious film.
Serenity was quite good, and has promted me to rent the tv series it was based on.
Apart from that, I've spent all week catching up on tv, green wing, curb your enthusiasm, larry sanders show , click and talking movies.
All up to date now
