Guess what I'm having to do at the moment........... yep choose a new phone and because I've been happy with my 5 year old brick, mobile technology has fcuked off into the distance and I haven't got a clue. I figured that rather than just post a ..............."which phone is best" type thread, a review type thread may be better.
So, what have ya got?

Had a few over the last few months which are:
T-Mobile MDA II - like an o2 xda, very full featured but just too big as a phone, plus look a dick using it IMHO
Nokia 6260 -nokias flip phone, was ok but runs symbian OS so everything is a little slower, felt very cheap and flimsy.
Motorola V3 - very stylish, slim and lightweight, just motorolas software sucks and I couldnt live with it
Now got a 6120 that I have had for a while and I love it. Why? Its kinda like going back to the 6310i which was and still is a superb phone. Its simple, has a colour screen and bluetooth but no fancy $hit like cameras and as a result it will go a whole week without charging. It does what you need a phone to do, make and receive calls, period!

Imate jam is like a mini version of this, i also had an XDA and an XDA2 and size was always too big - mini solves this and makes symbian (sp?) software look like a waste of time if you ever hook up to a pc.

Motorola RAZR V3 - a year old now. Smallish, lightish, stylish ;-)
All I want is flip phone that's not too big in the pocket. Don't care about other stuff.
It works fine for me - might upgrade to the newer V3i in fact, cos most new phones look a bit big, ugly and complicated to me.

Got a Nokia 6310i. It has bluetooth and that's about it. It was the only 'phone that Nokia recommended for business use, until they stopped manufacturing it.
Most of the phones that have cameras, MP3 players, blah blah blah are pathetic at actually being a phone, and their lifespan is short to say the least.

Nokia 3310 which I've had for a few years. I can make calls on it, and I can send texts. When I eventually get round to replacing it, I'll be in the same boat as you are now.

6230i here as well mikey.
its not too flash but crucially the camera, mp3 player, fm radio and voicerecorder all work perfectly.
I have a 1gig mmc card in it as well which works most of the time if it is reinstalled a couple of times although to be fair it doesnt "officially" support 1 gig cards and its a cheap one.
the mp3 player is surprisingly good as is the camera

Good old faithful Motorola V3 RAZR which I love because of it's size and pocketability although I'm tempted to upgrade to the V3i.
Orange SPV M5000 PDA which does everything except take the dog for a walk and is perfect for accessing the internet/emails/diary/listening to MP3s whilst out and about.

I'm still trying to use up the credit on my 3510i but I don't phone people so it's taking ages! Bought a second hand k700i off here, got it unlocked so I could use it on O2, but the reception is pap in our house in the back of beyond My Nokia at least gets a signal in a few rooms and allows me to hold a conversation, but the SE doesn't even find the network
I'm thinking of changing to a new Nokia. I really need to know signal reception is good on a phone now though before buying it, and the only way I can try is to get one in the house and see if it works. This could turn out expensive

Another 6230 vote. I have a 6310i car kit fitted (CARK-91) and you can get a pop-port shoe conversion which means the 6230 can use all the internal gubbins.
Great little phone by why-oh-why did Nokia stop making the 6310? Best business phone ever.
Cheers

I have an iMate KJam - good phone BUT only if you need internet & email - if this is not a requirement buy a simpler phone, mainly for battery life.
Can also vouch for the Nokia 6310i - they are like gold dust at our place - no-one wants to give them up, and there is a waiting list for people who want them back!
Amazed that Nokia don't remake it, or make another business orientated phone in the same vein.
