no thought brokeback mountain got what it deserverd zip
it was aluvvie film for, by and aimed a specific audiance for one purpose, to go for the "in" vote and gain oscars that way

Am very glad that Bareback Mounting
didn't get best picture, Crash is far more derserving. Phillip Seymour Hoffman getting best actor was also a massive thumbs up.One last comment about the gay flick, and those harping on it being the best picture, don't forget it's from the director who gave us "Hulk", says it all I think!

It's no wonder the general public is turning off from the Oscars. Those people have lost their grip on reality, but they still think they are so important. Makes me sick.

Why does every movie that gets nominated for best pic have to be moralising in some way- Crash (racial) or Brokeback (Gay). What happened to movies being entertainment?!?!
Agree, the Oscars is outdated and somewhat derisory.

Was just musing on the category of Best Actress, and which one out of Heath or Jake would have got the award!
I've been looking at the forums on IMDB and there's people harping on about the Academy being homophobic, and that gays are going to protest. *sigh* nothing like perpetuating a stereotype is there. Let's all protest about our gay flick not winning, which means everyone hates gays.
