downfall ch4 9 p.m tonight. well, last night now.
brilliant film. if you havent seen it its well worth a watch

Only managed to watch some of it before being dragged off to bed but thought what I saw was really rather good. I'll be obtaining it ASAP to watch the rest.

Stumbled across it on one of those new channel 4 channel not so long ago - what a film!
The guy who plays Adolf is superb.
Didn't he win an oscar for the performance? - if so very well desearved

I wish people wouldn't put "tonight" in their titles, because when it's tomorrow people get get all excited to start and then miffed when they realise they've missed a good film

Quality film. Cant think of any part of it that couldve obviously been done better, and all the performances were great.
Gets a well deserved 8.5 on imdb.com. Currently ranked 45 in the list of the all time best films.

Saw it at the flicks when it first came out, had a profound effect on everyone in there, especially when Magda Goebells murdered her children.

No, he didn't. No reason was given, but general opinion at the time was that the Academy didn't want to be seen rewarding someone for playing Hitler. But that's just the rumour.
