NAFTA’S or the Naffest All-time Film (and TV) Awards – Your vote!
NAFTA’S or the Naffest All-time Film (and TV) Awards – Your vote!
There seems to have been a lot of poor films about of recent. The last films(s) I saw at the cinema as the LOTR trilogy, OK it does not help having two small kids but even so we have not found time to go.
With that in mind I have come up with the NAFTA’S!
So here we go here are the categories;
Naffest FILM
THE DAVID LEAN AWARD for lack of Direction
Cruddiest SCREENPLAY (Original)
Worst PERFORMANCE by an ACTRESS in a Leading role
Poorest PERFORMANCE by an ACTOR in a Leading role
Most painful PERFORMANCE by an ACTRESS in a Supporting role
‘Why did he bother’ PERFORMANCE by an ACTOR in a Supporting role
FILM NOT IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE – why the hell release it in the UK
SPECIAL EFFECTS that made you either laugh, cringe or cry
Worst ACCEPTANCE SPEECH
There ya go any thoughts on who should win

Halle Berry for her monster's ball oscar[/quote]
"Do you like chocolate ice cream...................you do, you really do!!!!"

I borrowed The NAFTA's categories from the proper BAFTA's and i am sure Dave would be proud!

Was actually the lad who wrote buffy the vampire slayer - Josh Whedon i think.
He should be shot for that film (Alien R) and shot again for lifting near enough the entire storyline from a graphic novel written during the mid 90s.
Worst film IMO is Space Truckers - shocking film with Dennis Hopper and hte english guy from Alien 3 who both should have known better.
Closely followed by 2 Fast 2 Furious - only reason why I watched past the first 10 minutes was because it was a present from the misses.

Unfortunately, if you listen to Joss's side of the story the version he wrote was vastly different to the steaming pile of turd that Alien R ended up being.
I actually think that Joss W. is one of the very few talented writers around and as such will give him the benefit of doubt.
