Some idiot journalist said we're not to worry as London won't grind to a halt in the meantime...well of course it bloody won't you W Anchor, London survived for bloody years without the meddling ****, not to mention surviving the blitz, the bombings and the GLC...i'm sure it'll last four more weeks

Not that I'm a ken Fan (NOT).
But I think the reporter had a real chip on is shoulder, ken was not aware the guy was Jewish.
But some ethnic minority people (I'm an ethic minority being coloured French) when things don't go their way they cry RACIST.
Ken should have apologised and the reporter damm well over reacted and played the race card, I think his paper should sack the premadonna.
Both ken and the reporter are guilty of childish behaviour in just tring to draw attention to themselves!

If Ken didn't know the journalist wasn't a jewish, then the remark was a little tasteless, but how many of us non jewish people would really have taken offence to it? I certainly would not have, and I'm sure that the journalist has been called far more offensive things by other people.
If Ken knew he was jewish then it's a different story, even still, it's just a comment. If the journo had been in a death camp, then I could see why it might be taken so strongly, but if he has not, then he needs to lighten up a little, in the same way certain groups need to chill out about a few cartoons.

He totally ignores the interests of hard working Londoners and simply acts in the interests of minorities all the time. No surprise to see he offended a Jewish guy - probably did it to win even more support from muslims living in London who he seems to love.

When Livingstone made the initial remark he wasn't aware that the journalist was Jewish. However, the journo then told Livingstone that he was Jewish to which Livingstone said "Ah right, well you might be, but actually you are just like a concentration camp guard"
The original remark was a bit strange, but as he knew the journo was Jewish when he made the second remark he was deliberately trying to be offensive.

Yes the fact that he passed the second remark after he was told the chap was Jewish shoots him down.
I don't see why he should be getting his full pay while he is suspended, and by his own ideals he should have been booted out of the job anyway.
