i bet its not a 54 plate though lol, roofs can easily be removed and re atatched but them cutters they use would warp the hell out of the pillars, door hinges etc are not the easiest either lol

Perhaps it was all a cunning plan by the owner

He realised his mistake of buying a manual Jag and wanted a quick and easy way out

As for the injured guy that sat in the Jag,i would have pulled him out by the ears !!! Deffo, wont be stopping in the scoob to help any body . Seen something similar before at the Merc dealers who service my truck,a brand new 300series merc which had been involved in a minor bump, cracked front bumper ,smashed headlight, airbags hadn't even went off, probably repairable for under a grand, that was until the fire brigade turned up and cut through the wiring loom with cutters.(no disconnect the battery with a 13mm spanner for these guys) Dealer reckoned it would be wriiten off.No wonder we pay so much in bloody insurance

I seem to remember this happened somewhere in Norfolk some time last year. The good bit was that it was a police traffic car!!!!!!!!

How safe is a car that's had the roof lopped off...?
Surely that's the structural integrity of the passenger cell gone...?

Why would someone want to buy it like that???

I know i would of pulled the person out by their feet if the fire brigade came anywhere near my car with the snippers!

If it was a Subaru, they probably wouldn't have gotten through the roof or the pillars as they're too tough. Have a look at this:

(you'll have to scroll past the nag screen if you're not a member)
