Hed Kandi again - all change
Got a message from the Hed Kandi mailing list...
Last week, Ministry of Sound bought Hed Kandi in one of the fastest acquisitions in the dance music industry. Not only does this mean that weŽll be able to expand our global reach, itŽll also mean weŽll be able to deliver more fantastic events and releases. Fear not, the Hed Kandi party goes on!
Interesting to see what will happen in the coming weeks and months.

Have you heard Tokyo Project at all? Very similar to Hed Kandi, DJ's Mark Doyle and Craig McGivern were both former Hed Kandi DJ's and are now with Tokyo.....seen them both live and can vouch for the quality!!

As long as Hed Kandi maintain and keep up the twisted stuff - I'll be just more than happy.

My main concern is that as HK plays to a relatively small market share that MOS will slowly reduce the amount of albums the label produces. And then quietly drop them all together.
As long as they are just becoming a parent company and the same (ish) people are involved with the track selction. It will be OK. I'm not anti MOS, I own several of their Clubbers guides. But I don't want HK to become a facsimilie of other MOS releases. for example they now own Moneypennys, and I fear that will dis-appear/become amalgamated within HK.
Will give Tokyo Project a looksie.
