I cam back from shopping today, and one of our neighbours was standing behind his car looking suitable pi**ed off,

as we drove past, we could see a large pool of petrol dripping out from underneath.


Luckily i have loads of bags of sand in the garden (kids sand pit) so i went accross to see if he needed any (he did btw)

turns out some happy little ****** had screwdrivered the fuel flap and attempted to syphon petrol off,,, had no joy, and so stabbed a hole into the tank from underneath

so my neighbour was not impressed to say the least, and he reckons he was in the garden when they were doing it, as his dog was going balistic, outside so he went to see what was what, but didnt look over the wall to where his wifes car was parked.

To give them credit the BIB turned up, not a lot they could do mind, but they attended within a couple of hrs.

so now we have to be wary of little ******* with petrol cans.

I wouldnt mind if they just bust the cap and did what they do, but stabbing petrol tanks, is a right pita

Haven't cars these days got a blockage halfway down the neck to stop siphoning?

I noticed today that petrol has SHOT UP in price ........ no warning about that?

The same thing happened to me - unfortunatley more cars are built with plastic tanks nowadays , together with less an less bobbys on the beat ....

Similar thing happen to me a few years ago. Some ****** cut the fuel line in my old cavalier and drained 55 litres of LRP. No bib on account "well it could of happend anytime during the night", and no arrests, and 45 quid down the drain. Most of it literally cos they sure as hell didn't can it all judging from the state of the tarmac.

Don't know if the rest of the country is the same but up here all the wee chavs from the scumsville estates are running about on them fake,made from chocolate,deathtrap mini-motos and quad bikes.They have no regard for safety as their parents wont buy safety gear or fuel to run them,obviously not insured and illegal for use on the public highways.Hence the need for free fuel!!

With a bit of luck they will blow themselves up bursting a fuel tank with a screwdriver,still plenty made from steel.(pray for a small spark)
