Angry Some theiving ******* scumbag has just

walked into my lads school at 9.10am this morning (Chilwell Comp, Nott'm] with a pair a bolt croppers in a bag, whipped them out, chopped thru the so called high intesity steel lock and nicked his bike all caught on CCTV, 2 girls walking in late watched him chop thru the lock, but for safety reasons didn't approach him, but went to a member of staff, and by the time the teacher came out the bloke had gone, bike aswell, not a kid either but a ******* scumbag bloke probably needs it to get his next fix

My lad spent all summer working at his Saturday job to pay for this bike, i made a deal with him to go halves on it, so whatever bike he picked i would pay half and he would give me the money he earns from his job. Not being up to scratch on the latest fad kids have with bikes, its called CARRERA KRACKEN GT (can't find a pic) its Black & silver, has shed loads of gears, 27 i think, front and rear disc brakes, and front suspension.

Contacted our insurance company earlier to let them know what’s happened and to make a claim, and guess what they said they weren't going to pay out as we didn't have proof the bike was locked WTF

So i then told them that the theft was witnessed by 2 pupils and it was also caught on CCTV, showing the theiving ******* scumbag chopping into the lock, it actaully shows him from the back but from the arm movements u can quite clearly see he is chopping thru the lock, well they changed there tune pretty quickly after that, and have ok'd the claim.

They have contacted Halfords today , arranged everything, and all i have to do is pay the 1st £50 of the claim which has now been done and I can collect his bike 2moro.

But if i ever find out who the **** you are u scum sucking piece of sh!te, trust me it will be the last bike u ever nick

That's tough.............my youth had his pride and joy trials type MTB nicked from our garage. L&V just asked what it was worth, and sent me a chequoe the next day!

The next question is............how are you going to secure it from now on?
My eldest has a best bike and a crapoid one he took to school.

Pretty low really isn't it, nicking kids stuff.

Had you had the bike postcoded? Won't help your cause now but would raise the chance of the thief being caught.

How the hell can you prove the bike was locked under normal circumstances???

I know you're OK as you've got this on CCTV, but how can you prove this to the insurance company otherwise (ie. if your bike is locked up in the street or in your shed, or even in your house)?

Glad it seems to be working out OK for you and the kid however. He must have been distraught.

Cheers

As said before she i think the lady was refering to our last claim about 2 yrs ago when other son left his bike outside his mums shop and as he went in some toe rag kid jumped on it and sped off. she may have thought this was the same, but the 2 wintnesses and CCTV put paid to that

Glad it seems to be working out OK for you and the kid however. He must have been distraught.
he was absolutly gutted, his mum phoned me later at work and told me as he was trying to put on a brave face in front of me, why i don't know.

Will take a pic 2moro of his new bike so all in Nott'm can keep there beady eyes open, not that im expecting to see it again but u never know

happened to me at school

was an expensive bike- locked with a loop lock/chain and 2 D- locks through solid steel pillars.

Bolt cropped the lot, chucked it over a fence and loaded it into a car- a neighbour next to the school saw them and stopped them by blocking them in.
Got bike back.

U sir are going way down the wrong road, i would advise you turn round immedialtely

Son No.1 isn't / never has been a bully, so kindly keep those comments to ur self. the people who know Adam (or scooby Adz as he's known on here) will tell you he isn't big enought to be a bully and hasn't got a bullying bone in his body, as Kev and the crew at scoobyclinic were he spent all summer (well Saturdays anyway) helping out there................but if u insist on this approach pls feel free to come along to the Long Eaton Meet this Sunday and meet Adam

We are talking about No.2 son here. an to answer u last Q, no the police can't do a lot about it, as the CCTV pic's didn't show his face clear enough.

Daz- Just a thought, had son No2's bike been tied up then with son No1's laces, it might have been left alone?

About 20 years ago I had a bike that was securely locked to a lampost (a tall one) stolen. The thief either climbed it and lifted the bike over the top of the lampost then carried it away, or bolt cut the chain and took the chain with him. My parents house insurer refused to pay out because I didn't secure it properly.

Knowing how upset I was at having my bike nicked (never to be replaced), I'm glad your son got his replaced.

At least you got the insurance to pay out, bikes never come back.

When I was a young'un I had a manky old racer that cost me 10quid for riding to school. The "good" bike stayed safe at home. Bounus of said manky old racer is that locking it isn't really necessary, and it's good spannering practice getting it up to spec for the school run
