The youngsters don't appreciate the importance of ANOTHER Spring in the offing.
At our age each one is very significant.
Gardening time around the corner!!

Its always good to think that Spring is on its way. We have already got daffodils blooming in the hedgerows down here in God's own country.

Errrrmmmm, that's always the case on a clear day. Just that we haven't had a clear day for a while so it seems it's getting lighter. Funny how on a crappy day, it gets darker earlier. Surely a chap of your age would have, by now, figured out about seasons, day/night and weather.

Yep, I've noticed it, even in these northern climes. On a good day it gets dark'o'clock about 15:50 just now. The main thing is the birdsong - you can tell when the corner has been turned by their different calls. Unfortunately January is often the cruellest month as wildlife are lulled by the odd good day and then perish when the white stuff and frost come down.

Just be careful what you do on February the 2nd, it might come back to haunt you!
