Those packs you stick on to jump start without jump leads/another car.
BeetleBabe's bug is in the garage for winter but battery keeps going flat, cos it doesnt get enough of a run to charge it (SORN). Her nan (where it is) will complain about a mains trickle charger left on.

I got one at Netto for £20. The same one is for sale in Halfrauds for about £60, and in the weekend suppliments for £80+. Hit & miss as to whether they'll have 'em in though, so any motor factors if they don't.

My local motor factors had a choice of a few ( yes, I know they arent your local one, but YOUR local one probably will ) - make sure you go for something with a higher amp rating - the cheapest ones are only 200 and wont work well on cars with larger engines, the one I got is made by Polco, is 400 Amp and cost under £30 - works great on the Subaru every time, and my mates Diesel Van.

Thanks for the advice.
I'd looked on Halfords website but hadnt found em. We have a Netto now so I will look in there. It only needs to start a 1.6 beetle. Don't care if its not much cop as long as it can just about manage to do that now and then LOL

Bought one from Motorworld for £34.99, reduced from £44.99.
Netto had nothing like it, just food and the odd bit of tat.
