Question Is the term "straight" politically correct??

If a heterosexual person is "straight" then, by definition, a homosexual person is "bent".

Now, that can't be very PC can it!!?!?!?!?!?

the problem is, nothing is very pc any more. you cannot have a conversation without worrying about saying the wrong thing and upsetting someone.

far too many opinionated do-gooders around.

I predict 6 pages

He's only bent if he's not standing straight.

Straight should be replaced by the word "normal"

And the word "gay" should not be used to describe a homosexual.

Best thing is to stop worrying about whether you might say something that the PC Prats might object to. Just say it how you feel you would normally want to and if one of them starts whingeing let him have it in spades between the eyes, metaphorically speaking.

It is very unlikely that a member of an ethnic minority will object anyway.

Bent as a dog's back leg?

If you're not trying to offend, you rarely do, I find!

political correctness is only relevant when you're relating to minorities. When talking about the majority you can say anything you like. Obviously the majority don't have any feelings and therefore can't be offended

I think you'll find the acceptable and politically correct term for homosexuals is now 'chutney ferret' - although that could possibly be insulting to ferrets, chutney, or chutney made of ferrets.

I dunno, I once put this to a Lesbian. (In a mild fit of PC-ness) That the word "Bent" implies somethings broken. When she was quite capable in all other aspects of her life, so she aint defective.

She said she didnt care. She prefered people to use her name
