Eh? Surely half price for 12 bottles is the same as full price for 6 bottles, which is what you want? I'd have snapped them up at that price. Buy the 12 and sell the rest on eBay or something. I'd have had the other 6 off you, but I've just had two cases of stuff turn up from Virgin Wines so I don't need any "right now".

As said above Threshers 3 for 2. They do a cracking 2004 Beaujolais (Louis Jadot) at around £5.33 per bottle. Our local Tesco mini market also has a 2003 Cote du Rhone knocked down to £4.19 per bottle which is very drinkable.
I'll be having a '95 Nuit St George on Sunday as a treat. Bootiful

Sainsbury's were doing 2 for 1 Campo Viejo.. but think it was the Crianza now the Reserva (which is immeasurably better). Worth checking out.
If you get stuck, I'll have the other 6 CnDPs

if you cannot get any, get some geverey chambertain (sp) same region and similar grape and tannin, and most importantly tastes very similar.

Dont forget that Chateu Neuf du pape ranges from £6 to £50+ pounds a bokkle, my regular tipple from Radcliffes is the £14 one... They all have the bottle logo just below the neck so only a posh person would be able to differentiate easily...
As for others - our Threshers is doing 3 for 2...
Rioja is my tipple though....Love the stuff!! :

"The Pope's new castle" is the literal translation. He might have been robbed as well
As Paul Merton said of the latest pope "He has the eyes of a killer that one" - many a true word and all that!
The actual area around Chateauneuf isn't that exciting and whilst the wine itself enjoys a deserved reputation as being very agreeable there are many other (cheaper) fine wines to be had and which you might want to look out for - a few examples are Rasteau, Visan, Gigondas and Vacqueyras. My mother-in-hate lives in Provence and I take great solace in the grape when I have to go and see her which is why I'm able to pass along this information to you

scoobygav, you have excellent taste
If you're ever in the mood for something really special (and I don't mean the photo posted by STi above! ), try a Penfolds St Henry.. Its pricey, but oh my god its worth it (not always the case as we all know).
