Any reason you're asking about retailers other than Richer Sounds?

Have you had a bad experience with them or something, or do they not have what you're after?

Richer sounds never seem to have many subs in stock although the Paradigm range they used to sell were good value for money.

If you are not wanting to spend a lot I'd look at buying a second hand REL Acoustics sub off ebay.

Cheers

I can't recommend BK highly enough when it comes to great value for money !

They make subs for other known companies but you can buy them direct from the manufacturer at some great prices.

Do a search on www.AVForums.com and you'll see many happy customers

REL, I am not worthy

i came accross REL many years ago before they were mainstream, you could buy direct from them, at stupidly low prices!! a stentor for about £250!!

at the time though no money !!

would dearly love a rel sub, but its
a) finding sufficient cash.. (see earlier posts)
b) convincing swmbo thats its a cheap replacement

no probs with richer sounds, apart from not having the matching surrounds when they were on special offer

just wondered if there were any others similar to them

The reason I ask is because I work for Richer Sounds!

The Mordaunt-Short range of subs we do are good value for money. Even the little 308 which is only 80 watts with an 8" driver produces levels/depth of bass it really shouldnt be able to manage! I couldnt believe it the first time I heard it!

The 409 (Genie system sub), which is now available separately is just awesome, in fact I'm thinking of changing my sub for one.

It is a shame we dont do the likes of the Paradigm Servo 15 any more though, that was a beast!

Alcazar, there's a Richer's in Hull ... only a short hop across the river.

You'll need to get your application for a Visa in before Christmas though

Is that a "Visa" card, or a "Visa" to visit Hull? It's not bad getting in, IIRC, but you have to pay to get back out. A bit like Wales really
And you don't stick your arm out of the window to indicate a right turn in Hull, the b*ggers nick your watch.

And with the bridge toll now at £5 return, I might as well take a run to Nottingham, Sheffield etc.

I know we've got all the leads and there's loads of dials on the back and it sounds good - apart from that I don't know - other half sorted all that out. Sorry.

I just replaced my Paradigm PS1000 with a REL Q100E.
The Rel has a 12" driver that has a flat frequency response down to 20hz, it really does drop low and without any boom.

i have it connected with low level input only as my amp has full bass management.

I paid £255 for it off ebay.

Cheers
