1000mg of paracetamol 4 times per day. Make sure you DO NOT exceed that. There is an ongoing cumulative effect but it takes a while and as long as you keep it up them you will get some relief but keep taking them. There are some others like Anadin Max Strength that have the Paracetamol dosage plus another painkiller/Ibuprofin or Asprin. Do not mix Paracetamol and Anadin as the latter also includes Paracetamol.
If you want fast relief go for fizzy tablets but I think they also wear off quicker.

Over the counter, just take 2 Co-codamol with 400mg of Ibuprofen.
Max Co-codamol 4 times/day, max Ibuprofen 3 times/day.
Make sure you don't suffer from any stomach related problems before taking any NSAID's though.

get some codeine hydrochloride (co codamol) and mix it with aspirin, crush the tablets up and mix with water.
this creates the chemical equivalent of morphine
used it to get over my broken leg last year, much better than that kapake crap on its own.
and it doesn't bung you up big time!!!!

When I had a tooth out a while back, the dentist suggested I take the max recommended dose of Paracetamol combined with the max recommended dose of ibuprofen.
Works a treat as the painkillers work in different ways and so complement each other.
Don't waste time with "branded" painkillers. Basic paracetamol & Ibuprofen tablets work better and don't have a host of other **** in them.
Anyway, that's what my dentist suggested. Of course, I could be a mad internet killer....

Ibuprofen is the drug. nurofen, and the like, may contain paracetamol.
hence my comment about buying the simple tablets only.

Only just short of prescription-strength, and really does the job very well indeed.

Google for "dry sockets" and see if you think that's what you have.
If you had the teeth out in hospital phone the day unit and speak to someone. I made the mistake of going to the doctors first. He upped the strengh of the tablets but it still didn't do any good.
