Sandblasting in Yorkshire?
Anybody know anyone?
Want under the bonnet, wheel arches, interior and floor sand blasting on my new shell..
Spoke to MSS in morley and they were saying about £250

Sand blasting will be too harsh surely? Had you considered bead blasting? Theres a fellow who bead blasts on the small industrial estate behind 'Netto' at the Mushroom Roundabout in Rotherham. Someone a little more local may know him. Ive had many sets of Porsche allows bead blasted by him (the last set was a few years ago now) and he was spot on; and about £20 for four too!

Is it just me or isn't bead blasting more adrasive than sandblasting?
either way I certainly wouldn't bead blasta new shell.

Neither are appropriate really; but at least bead/shot blasting wont pit the metal as sand blasting will. The most suitable method for cleaning a corroded monocoque is to blast it with crushed walnut shells, but you wont find anyone doing that in Leeds....

David, there is a place in Halifax that does bead blasting, not sure of the name but its on the Dean Clough Industrial Park, there was also a place in Denholme between Halifax & Keighley.
