Hotels in the Leamington Spa Area
Anyone recommend any hotels in the Leamington Spa area right in centre for around £50-70 per night? Ideally with swimming pool etc
Cheers!

Within 5 mins walking distance of the clubs and bars etc really.
Any suggestions with or without tbh. Will go for corporate rate as on business.

The marriott doesn't have a pool attached but it allows you to go to a health club around the corner and use their facilities. Pretty good "Frankie Vaughan" too (So I'm told)

I'd have to recommend the Angel, as it's co-owned by my boss. And no, I don't / can't get discounts. No pool, but it's close to the river if you're desperate
Well within walking distance to all the bars etc.

Avoid the Falstaff Hotel. Tiny rooms (folding door to the en-suite bathroom as there is no room to open a conventional door), disgustingly greasy (and cold) breakfast, add a 5p markup to newspapers, etc.
I stayed there once and will never go back.

You could try the new travel lodge in the centre of the town (on the parade) should be well within your budget (pocket any extra !!) and stumble out the front door straight into the pubs.
It used to be a big private hotel but has just been refurbished as a travelodge.

No pool though !!

On a serious note, the angel was perfect in nearly every way. The room was huge and just the right temperature. It had a desk so I could work at night. Bed was comfortable and had just the right amount of pillows (loads).
The evening meal was fantastic, fillet steak medallions in a whisky sauce mmmmmm.
Car park is a bit of a nightmare to get out of but thats not the hotels fault. I would definitely go there again without hesitation.
To all the people who know the area well this may sound a bit odd, but I went our for an exploration trying to find an indian restaurant.......could I find one? no. Had a mexican instead which to be honest as a bit poor.
The staff at the hotel were all really nice and friendly.

Absolutely gorgeous scenery, swimming pool and top class restaurant.
TOP TIP If you book, ask for a room in "the 60's" i.e 60,61,62 etc. You will not be disappointed..........

The Angel is probably your best bet for the town centre if you dont like Travellodge's.
