Default disolvable Stitches

How long before supposed disolvable stiches disolve??

I had a load put in my gum last week, and there sill there,

my gum looks like a turky crown all trussed up, and these bl**dy stiches seem to be getting tighter, i would have thought the swelling would have subsided by now..

question is,,,, do i wait to see if the disolve, or do i snip and pull em myself ??

and then watch as my gum open up ,, been lots of odd flappy bits that are now starting to hopefully fuse together

If you are worried, go back to the dentist.
For God's sake, don't cut them yourself, I would have thought it would take at least a couple of weeks for them to disolve

Its amazing how gums can heal.... they can look open and ragged as anything and still everything will smooth over eventually. I'd leave the stitches another week unless they are causing discomfort or there is any sign of infection in which case see your dentist who will probably remove them. They will have done their job by now anyway.

Had them earlier this year. I would say it was around a couple of weeks.

Think it took between 1 and 2 weeks for mine to disolve in my gum, though it was quite a few years ago.

Allow 10 days for your gum to heal - after that you could probably snip every other one with no worries. If they are still there after 21 days whack them out. (Usually hurts like **** though)
