Just checked you can drive Buses with fewer than 9 seats (including vehicles with a trailer weighing up to 750 kgs)

But need a D1 licence to drive Buses with more than 8 but fewer than 17 seats (including vehicles with a trailer weighing up to 750 kgs) provided they are not used for hire or reward

I'm 26 mate and just missed getting Mini Bus on my licence by 1 day!!!!
I have the same problem as you mate. You will NOT covered to drive the Mini Bus. Get the ATC to put you through the test via your local RAF Station MT. And then you can get the DVLA to put it on your licence.
