very warm indeed mate. The NWFP where my relatives come from has been affected also. Two schools have collapsed with one everyone surviving, in the other a teach and some children killed. A whole family of 7 has also been killed and the nearby Hazara area has been totally destroyed.

30,000-40,000 death toll ticking away

Sorry to hear this news.

Regardless of personal opinions on race, religion, immigration etc everybody is going to feel the same. These things can never be good, regardless of where they are happening.

Well sorry to break it to you mate but there is no allah, just like there is no father christmas and no tooth fairy

Going back on topic that was a pretty bad quake - dead toll was a few hundred, then suddenly reported to be 20,000. Hope the rescue teams manage to get there quickly - no doubt a lot of people trapped alive in the rubble right now, so hopefully some can be saved.

I don't think God is to blame for this. God isn't deciding to kill a load of Muslims one day and then Christians the next! I think we should look to God to give us the strength to get through difficult times, not blame God for them. Just my belief.

how can we blame someone for creating everything

n Ben you are right mate but do remember it isnt a fact that say for example in the new orleans devastations only christians died. Yes majority of them were christians probably but certainly people of all races and religions died in the events. Similarly in the tsunami and here in pakistan people from all backgrounds have been affected n rather than starting to point fingers at one another, we need to get together and hope it doesnt get worse than it already has.

I agree with what your saying kilo. My point is that it happened because there was a fault line there and that's it. These events will keep happening and people will be affected regardless of religion or race as you say. Everybody is human and whatever issues there may be, this isn't a time to bring religion etc into it.

My thought's are with the people affected...

Unhappy

What a terrible thing to happen, just read that around 40,000 are thought dead, parents using shovels and picks to dig their kids out of two buried schools. Kinda puts your own problems in perspective really.

Shame to see this thread went off topic for a while.

Just sorted out our 'old' kids and adults clothes for a trip down to Oxfam.

Exactly Paul, these are situations where one needs to be thinking about what has happened and look at those affected such as the thousands of little kids. We need to hope that no matter where in the world, regardless of ure personal vendettas this situation is not faced by anyone

very sad indeed

An absolute disaster, hitting some of the poorest people in the world....

On a side note, I note that many people have adopted the line of 'what a cruel God, what God etc'?....Fot those who have made comments such as those, do you therefore conversely THANK GOD every day when God feeds, clothes and shelters the billions in the earth...or does the blaming game only work one way?...

aah forget it bro, those who care about what has happened do not find this as an opportunity to joke and make smart comments. Those who do, just wonder what theyd be thinking if they encountered a similar disaster
