My mate
My mate has been seeing a bird for about 6 months and when they first met she was already seeing somebody. The first bloke won't take **** off for an answer and still tries to contact her.
My mate is all for going round and filling him in if he doesn't back off. I've told him not to as he'll be the one who ends up in the **** but he's a bit of a loony and insists a severe talking to is the only thing the bloke will understand.
What can I say to him to talk him out of it?

Its simple,
In light of recent events with stalkers (incident in london), she needs to phone the police. Report the harrasment, say how concerned she is and how he is acting.
He will get a visit from plod, be given a first course of conduct warning (for harassment which he will have to sign to agree) and the next time he contacts her, he'll get lifted and spend the day in a cell
If she wont do that, shes keeping in touch for "other reasons"

The best thing to do would be for your mate to avoid his bird for a little while and see how she reacts. If she doesn't react much, she's probably getting double portions.
If she DOES react, it shows she's keen on your mate and he then has the perfect opportunity to make HER make this other guy get lost for good.
Afterall - how hard do you think this bird's been trying to get rid of the other guy. Probably not very hard at all if she's like any normal women. Let's face it, attention from someone of the opposite sex is never unwelcome (unless you're a gay of course) and she probably doesn't want to burn her bridges with this other guy in case it doesn't work our with your mate...

Instead of taking action immediately and landing himself in a whole lot of ****, why doesn't he just speak to the bloke and tell him if he continues to pester the inevitable outcome is that he'll get a good pasting for his troubles.
At least he's had a warning then before your mate goes psycho on his sorry a$$!
I'd bet my house that a threat of intent will do the trick. Esp if he says it to him in a calm, calculated tone - now that would scare me enough to stop!

Ray, the bird has to end her story with the other bloke first.
- worst case scenario is that stalker man will fill the pair of you in!!!!
she can change her mobile no, and go to the old bill, so does she REALLY want him to stop contacting her???
me thinks not!
dazza
PS: Invite stalker bloke round for a chat, and when he nods off (after about 10 seconds worth of "the merits of printed circuit boards on speed cameras" tie him up and chuck him off a bridge!!!
disclaimer: do not do anything i suggest!!!!
all the best

I'd tell your mate to let it slide and not worry about it. She's with him and not the other bloke so what's the big deal? If he's becoming a real pain there are ways of dealing with it without your mate landing himself in trouble.
Having said that, if it was me, I'd leather him to within an inch of his life, burn his house down and take a dump in his car

Sounds like your friend has some anger and self control issues to me, he should just chill out man.
If she changes her number he cant contact her can he, job jobbed. Poor little puppy someones nicked his toy (i feel a bit sorry for him).
Then instead of filling him in, your 'mate' can continue filling her in
If she's giving you the eye, him a ride and the ex the come on then **** it we'll all come round and roast the mucky bitch!!
