buy ANY car on 0% finance...possible?
a guy i work with reckons you can buy any car on 0% apr if youre persistant enough...how i hear you cry...?
this may not be a new concept to some of you but it is to me and i was wondering if anyones ever heard of it before or even knows of it being successful...
this is how it goes...
if you walk into a dealer with, for example, 20 grand cash for a car, thats the price you pay...i know it sounds obvious...this guy reckons if you go in and demand 0% on a car, then if you visit enough dealers, eventually someone will say yes...he reckons the key is being able to just walk straight out of the place if they say no, and move onto the next one...
bit crap if you cant get the car youre after, but if you go around enough main dealers, what are the chances of it working...?
personally, im not convinced...anyone any ideas...?!

see the title of the thread...not all dealers are offering all cars at 0%...the idea is i suppose that if you went to enough dealers for the car of your choice, you might be able to find one that would do you a deal...
am i just not being clear enough...?
anyway, like i said, im not convinced its possible...however, the guy who told me about it seems to think it is...

WTF????
Dealers will do it, didnt Citroen do it a while back for the saxo?
Im sure like Reffro says, pay top whack on the car for the top spec you'd get it down to 0%

How can you get ANY car but not the one you're after

On the screen price Im sure many dealers would offer 0%....in fact many do.....but screen price is usually a lot higher than the hagglable price, so in real terms you would still be paying a premium for the credit facility...so its not really 0% finance!

right, okay, ill apologise if its confusing...but im sure its not that confusing...
you walk into a dealers, and you want a car and its going for 20 grand, you dont have the cash, and you want it on finance, so he does the figures, and gives you an apr of, say, 8%...(i dont know if this is low/high/average as i havent bought a car on finance for years...)...you say, i want to pay 0% apr but still take the finance for 20000...
apply this to any car, i.e. the car you want that may not necessarily be top range/top spec or be part of a 0% apr deal anyway...
see what im saying now...?

(Unless of course the traders ring each other up in advance and up the screen prices by 40% prior to your mate showing )
