ABC news bomb photos
Photos of the inside of two of the tube trains + the explosives found Luton. Don't ask me how the yanks got hold of these, but somehow they did. Nothing gory which is good.

I would have thought that these photos could have been officially released so the public would know what to be on the look out for ?
They aren't what I would have thought bombs would look like (except the Nail one) !

Hello
Wow, is that all it takes? That's shocking. They look nothing like bombs at all. But then I guess (like most people), my only experience is thankfully just watching movies.

I can imagine some people looking at those pics never wanting to go on a tube again.

Doesn't it seem strange that the meticulous forensic investigators would just dump a load of "bombs" on the roadside, at night, to photograph them as proper "evidence", rather than isolate the vehicle and move it to a sterile environment to avoid losing vital stuff such as DNA etc.????
Or maybe ABC stands for A Bunch of Crap!!

re boomers comment..
i,m no expert but..
its very strange... now either our inteligence services arr,nt to clever.. highly unlikley or
these devices are propoganda tools...
my worry is that the 4 are stooges, designed to be caught,, then the heat goes off the real bombers who kick off again...
the nail bomb... either they went to a design school for trendy bombs, or there absolute rank ametuers....
now i,m no explosives expert, but.. why make the b*mb look like a medievel cludgel.... all the nails neatly positioned... given that when the thing explodes, it would just be metal in all directions.. points in or out would make no differance, the cutting effect would be the same.

Because it makes the explosives less, erm, explosive. You can certainly have a secondary container with the bomb inside and fill that with nails, although ball bearings have better velocity and destructive power.

The reason the nail bomb looks like it does is because when the creator made it. He/She stretched out a line of clingfilm and stuck the tacks in it. Then wrapped the bottle with the clingfilm, points outwards. It makes no odds really of course, but it does point to the way it was made and whose the person behind it.
