Default How expensive are holidays now :(

Me and the misses picked a couple of holiday dates out at the beginning of the year and thought we'd get a last minute job (spend £150 max each) first week we had booked off fell during half term and prices shot up. overall and expensive holiday in a lower class hotel than we wanted second holiday dates we picked out, again without thinking fell right in the first week of the 6 week holidays and prices have shot up. not fussed where we go aslong as it has a beach. friday 29th from manchester for 1 week and we're looking at at least £250 each for about 2*

anyone know of any good web sites to search for a holiday?

thanks...

No. £150 is common for holidays, most of the year you can get away for £100 each for a week somewhere....

why spend more than you have too? only reason its more expensive is because Ive caught the school holidays.

last holiday cost us £130 each IIRC 3* in Malta which wasnt too bad 2 years ago

1 month ago we went to Zante at a cost of £159 each after mucho searching about

lol.. well bully for you but I think a private villa which is usually situated away from the centre of resorts and you need a car for are a little overkill for our holiday now if there was a group of us going Id consider it to be a viable option

We paid £26 for two for a weeks camping at Lossiemouth in Scotland a month ago, the campsite is right by the beautiful sandy beach which stretches as far as the eye can see in both directions. It should've been a bit more expensive but we moaned about a few things so got a discount. Tight wads Fantastic holiday though

Probably not what you're looking for though?

maybe for you and your extravagent over priced holidays....

lets try not to take the pi55 eh, I know for a fact you can go abroad for a week somewhere more than reasonable for about £150. just because you might decide to spend more thats your choice....

Fair point, my Mrs is a teacher so we always get hammered with school holiday prices, and have no choice in the cost

As for the chumpy going on about air con'd cars only, who wants to drive when they're on holiday? We just did that in a villa in Southern Spain and I wont do it again, annoying not being able to drink when and where you want due to driving.

That'll be the Gulf Stream warming it up nicely all round the Elgin / Lossie Area.

But don't tell too many soft southern pooftas - we don't want English brekkie bars on the beach .
