Things to do in Florida?
Im off to Florida for a 3 week holiday. Obviously with that length of time I need plenty to do so apart from the obvious theme parks, water parks and Kennedy space centre where else can people recommend?
Dont mind travelling for a day or two to get to somewhere great

Believe me, with 3 weeks you still won't have enough time to do everything. There are 4 Disney parks, 4 Universal parks (inc. Seaworld and Busch Gardens), Gatorland, airboat rides, helicopter rides, 3 water parks, KSC, golf courses, shopping, etc. Even with three weeks, you'll be lucky to do all of the Disney and Universal parks (unless you like feeling knackered every day).
Then of course there's Miami, the Keys, etc.

Plus there's all the shopping malls
& believe me, you're going to need some 'days off' to recover from all that walking
We also went to a place on International Drive, can't remember if it was called Ripleys or not. Some cool stuff in there, sort of an interactive science experience place

drive down to key west. Buy cigars and watch the sun go down from the boardwalk. Go to Hemingway's house while you are there...
check out the beaches on the gulf coast too.

Go to Old Town on a Friday evening as they have a collection of classic American Hot Rods and stuff turn up. IIRC Sat has newer "2 Fast 2 Furious" style ones and on a Thursday is the bikers night.

Looked absolutely great. Gonna do it when out there in September
(Basically set up with 2 cars on rails where you have to plant your foot on the gas when the fairy lights give the go !) Checks reaction times etc etc.
Awesome - Think it was $30 to drive and $10 to be passenger

Take a ride down the Keys
I did a while agoe, stayed in Islamorada(sp?) and travelled down to Key West. Key West is great it does not come alive until the evening, was shopping for Ray Bans and stuff until 23:00hrs then went drinking for a looooooong time afterwards. Not just for boozing adults - place has a nice feel. Fine for families.
Hire a boat and do some snorkelling or diving, cheap enough.
Great views and afriendly place on the whole. I would go back
Motels, etc are reasonably priced.

If there's a shuttle launch when you're there you have to go and see it off - Awesome .

When in Rome...go down to the baseball nets and hit a few *****. Theres girly softball ones too to get you going, but then try the 90mph + section - you get the odd flyer too

Check out Captain John and his Airboat rides at a village called Christmas (really). Not your normal commercial rubbish.
Also I can highly recommend the Orlando Science museum.
Enjoy
