Shouldnt be too hard to answer with all their 'free to view' channels (including the excellent BBC3 (little britain, the office et al) and the fantastic BBC News 24, the superb interactive services (red button stuff), quality web pages (bbc.co.uk), good sports coverage of Wimbledon, the british open, world championship snooker, rugby league cup etc and Match Of The Day (god bless ya Gary)...
I get far more out of the BBC than I do from Sky which I pay nearly £600 a year on (full gold package plus MUTV)... The beebs a bargain...

Don't remember the last time I watched BBC TBH. Watch Emmerdale now and again, but other than that I don't watch the "terrestrial" channels at all.

Time the TV license was optional, encrypt the BBC channels and pay for them if you want them, I suspect they would get a bit of a rude awakening.

BBC1, BBC2 and BBC World as well as 30 or so other channels are all bundled in my cable subscription for a measly 120 Euros a year. Terrific value if you ask me!

Top gear is worth that alone.

Sure, you are happy to pay for something you want, it gets my goat somewhat that I have to pay for something I don't want in order to have something I do. It's a bit like having to buy a tractor before you are allowed to buy a family saloon, great if you are farmer, **** all use to anybody else.
