how to find the telelphone no. of an adress without the name?
Hi
I wonder if anyone has any ideas - I need to find the telephone number of an address, to contact the person there, but I dont have the name of the person (dont ask, long story).
The usual people such as 118 118 need a name to search for a number, which doesnt help. The address is not registered on electoral role, so that doesnt help.
Does anyone know where I can get a tel. number based only on an address?
thanks
Neil

Have you tried http://www.192.com/? They normally have the latest electoral roles.
Failing that, find someone who lives near there and get them to pretend to be some sales person and go and ask for a name.

ok - I'll spill the beans here....
A 'customer' of ours has purchased goods on a stolen credit card. The goods were delivered last week, and only just reported to us, as a fraudulent transaction.
Obviously I'd like to contact the person at the delivery address (!) The telephone number provided with the order is false.
We have already had our courier check the address, and there is an Impreza parked outside.
Any ideas?

how far away is it from your location? maybe a visit is in order...lol in all seriousness though surely its a job for the police not yourself? the goods might still be recoverable...
btw, if he has a scooby outside then Id keep an eye on the classifieds in here for whatever goods it might have been you sent... long shot but worth a look
