Just proves that Noel Gallagher speaks more crap than Bob Gelfdof.
There's no doubt that all the media attention regarding the cause that Bob Geldof is campaining for is putting pressure on the government. The sad thing is that it takes a pop 'star' (I'd call him a campaigner in reality though) to kick politicians up the ar$e to do something about it all.

....and what exactly can politicians in THIS country do when the politicians in THERE country and running a bad regime.
Cash goes to the government, not the people.

How is this our governments problem??
Don't get me wrong, it's terrible that in 2005 we have countries that are living in poverty. However, it's the government of those countries that need addressing - not just throwing wedges of cash at that country generically, all that achieves is to fund the purchase of a fleet of Mercs to ferry around the currupt government in question.

Or if you prefer, your barclay card is maxed out and he is trying to clear the debt for you to buy some food to help your kids and then you go and max it out again by pi$$ing it up the wall on a holiday without the kids.
He needs to cut the card up and take the kids to McDonalds if he want to help

Like he know betters than Bob...and vica versa. Make somebody a celebrity and they think they can create eutopia

I happend to catch Bob whinging on TV the other night at how we the western world are totally responsible for the slavery and ruin of third world Africa.....Correct me if I'm wrong, I was sure it was a third world country before we started messing around in there and selling their people off as slaves. They didn't have money back then either...because they didn't use it! Cheers Bob for reminding them of how evil we all are, and that nothing has changed in the past 100+ years
