so I was flying up the road out of Blackpool at 11.45pm last night.

It's a really wide road with no houses or anything around.

It's safe for a little spirited driving.


Going along at a fair old whack (it's a 30 zone for some reason). I see a car coming towards me. Thought it was a Taxi....oops. Nope it was a police car.

I slow right down as I approach the built up area (which I'd do anyway if I hadn't passed a poilce car). Think it's all fine as he doesn't turn round .

next thing there's a policevan behind with it's lights going.

Thought for a minute he wants to get past.

Nope it's for me.

s**t!!!!! I'm in it now, I think to myself.

Get out car to hear guy on his radio. The person on the other side of radio says "I think it may have been a vectra"....(I'm in a Skyline).

Pooping my pants thinking I'm going to be arrested.



He walks over. "going a bit quick then weren't you?"

"er....yep...sorry"


"I don't blame you for having a blast up there. Nice big empty road. I'd do the same if I had your car"

Couldn't believe it.

Just got a Producer.

my one recent saving grace was flying down a road and then got held up by a learner with no space to overtake.... 150 metres round the bend and there were feds with speed guns!!! phew....

You should have replied, "No, not really officer, you should have seen the lunatic in the Vectra, who came past me".
