prob same as on here, the host can get done for the 'slander' if any. If thats the case, why not delay it 15 mins to enable any editing or better still, don't show any of it

On BB for example, its to protect personal info about them as well as the reason you mention.
Having known someone who went on BB- I can confirm they changed their name, location and job etc on the show- so by muting it, it eliminates any possible nutbar tracking them down

Just turn the TV off and do something more exciting, like polishing rocks or watching paint dry.

I had not realised that BB protected their identies. I did not think that would be possible really. Someone watching the TV must realise who they are, and then leak it to the press. Well, at least, thats what I thought would happen.

I dont know if they do for all of them...

The one i knew definately had his name and location changed! And i know of one other that did too.
probably given the option.
