We used Stain Devils "Ballpoint-Felt-Tip-Crayon version for biro on cream leather. Got rid of stain and no harm to sofa. Note this was just a scribble, not a leaking pen so best of luck. There was a thread on this some months ago which did have other suggestions.

as per the above post - Brakefluid will dissolve biro ink. As long as its new clean brake fluid and you don't let it soak into the leather you'll be fine.
I've done it on leather car interiors and us a cotton bud soaked in the fluid to gently dab the ink so it starts to dissolve and then use kitchen towel to mop up the ink.

Paul - had kinda the same problem about 6 months after buying our cream leather sofa - our 3yr old used one of the seats as a drawing pad with a blue biro.
Looked at lots of different treaments available, until someone suggested just leaving it and instead choosing that spot to sit on when perched on the sofa. And it worked - the action of getting on and off it time and time again removed it bit by bit, although it took about 2 weeks to go completely.
So my advice - leave it and choose that spot to veg on.

You might be able to claim of either your house insurance or your sofa warranty. Alternatively, get a crystal of washing soda, wet the biro mark and then dab the washing soda on the mark until it disappears. You will need to repolish the area afterwards though or it will leave a big white mark

I am a customer service technician for a furniture company, so deal with this quite a bit, lol.
Basically you got to act quick to stand any chance of getting it out! depending on the type of leather, once its soaked in your fecked!
I wouldnt like to put brake fluid on a new leather sofa, theres so many different grades of leather i could see it pealing or bubbling up the colour of the leather!
You can buy an ink remover to do the job, however you get best results if the leather has been treated with some sort of protection cream from new! The protection cream actually seals the leather to stop anything, such as ink, from soaking into the leather!
What area you in?
