Quicken or Quickbooks Very user friendly for a beginner.

Hi,

Barclay's business manager - go to Barclays and open a business account and subscribe to clearlybusiness - it's from £20/month upto about £60 depending on what you need.

Alternatively just drop me a PM

thanks, Jai

Sage Instant £99 and you can easily upgrade to Line 50 later if you outgrow it. Pegasus used to do Pegasus Capital as a free download not sure if they still do and thats the equivalent entry level product. Personall I think that TAS, Quicken, MYOB and lots of the other offerings are poor, Sage have huge dominace in the accounting sector. I personally prefer Pegasus (used to work for em too) but we use Sage because thats what our FD wants us to use. We are now a Sage Developer too any more Qs then please let me know.

Cheers

Gary

Default Small Business Software

Hi mate

Im an accountant so get to use all the programs out there. Personally Sage Line 50 is my favourite, but it does require a basic knowledge of accounting, its also relatively expensive.

MYOB and Quickbooks are cheaper and have a more user friendly interface, with a bit of playing you should be able to get the hang of them.

Barclays Business Manager and Microsoft Money are also useful little tools, but depends how advanced you need the functions to be.

I personally set my clients up with a mixture of manual records kept on excel and Sage Line 50. I also find the Sage support far better than Intuit for
Quickbooks.

Forgot to say, most Accountants prefer a Sage or Quickbooks backup to prepare the accounts from, less likely they will have the other programs.

Cheers

Ash
