Wednesday morning Police moan
I'm not anti-Police (have mucho respect for them) but this morning I want to moan. On the way home from work yesterday evening, driving through Farnborough, a mobile camera van had been set-up with Police motorbicycles(!) dotted around the place. The van must have been checking for road tax dodgers, outstanding offences, illegal plates, or something because the traffic was a crawl so no chance of speeding.
To the left of me (and everyone else in a long queue of traffic) was a bus lane, which a yawn boring Golf decided to utilise to cut out all the traffic. As I gazed at one of the Police crew, he clocked the golf and appeared to use some of the Green Cross code as if the bike was about to launch into 'Chips' mode.
Excited at the thought of someone getting busted, the bike didn't move in the end and the Golf just carried on its merry way. Now I know for a fact that had that been me abusing the bus lane in my Scooby, I definately would have been spoken to.
Ruddy typical!

So none of the bikes etc had a camera?
The guy can be reported by one of the officers on site without the need to pull there and then.
But then what would I know?

I think it is a case of sods law Jonty, i never get away with anything either. A bloke that lives near me used to drive around in a beaten up escort (he was in his 50's so no excuse really) and the tax disc was dated for september 2001!. so if he had no tax he cant have had an MOT or insurance and he drove this car for years and never got caught. But it is sods law that if i was late getting my car tax i would get caught. (This is not a pop at any Police Officers, just at sods law)
