Jongleurs Comedy Club (Manchester) for Stag Do. Anyone been?
In addition to a couple of days at Lords for the cricket, I’m planning a night at Jongleurs for my Stag-Do. Looking to do a Saturday night in June.
Just wondered if anybody has been, and if so, can you recommend it?
Cheers…
Julian

Not specifically Manchester but I have been to London and Leeds. Top night out, kegs of stella, bowl of chips and comedians. Doesn't get better. The comedians do a tour of the jongleur clubs so you will see the same people who have just been to london, leeeds etc.
For the love of god dont sit near the stage!

Been to the one in Battersea and it was good.
Be warned though that if you are too pissed/rowdy you will be thrown out! A group of pissed up lads were lobbed out when I was last there and they weren't really that bad. The guy on stage (name escapes me) simply asked for them to be removed - and they were!
Food is terrible - very much like airline food, but worse, so eat before going in.

Ive been to the one at Bow (east london) many times, good acts, as above, avoid the front if possible. The disco afterwards, is a pretty good time to leave and find a decent bar/club. The one in Brum is bigger, more fun i thought. great atmosphere, better than Bow, Camden is ok.

been to the one in pompey on a joint stag/hen do.. you don't have to be pissed to be kicked out...
you're not even aloud to whisper during acts 3 strikes and u're out - if you go as a bunch, i remember you have to pay something like £100 deposit and if any of you get shown the door they keep it..
but it was a good laff and the disco thing afterwards was a hoot (from what i remember) just don't touch the wine.. it's nats p*ss...

Thanks for the replies, which have made my mind up for me – booking today!
On the website it says you need to pay the £100.00 deposit if there are 16 or more, but will check that out.
… and will stay away from the wine
Cheers.
