booking a one-way ticket from America to England, from England
ok, currently looking at flights to New York, then Los Angeles, then back to the UK.
got the New York and Los Angeles part licked, but the web sites I have used do not allow me to book the one-way flight back from America.
any regular travellers know a site I can do this from?
thanks
Ed

Ah I see. So take a Greyhound from LA to NYC then hop on a cargo ship to Southampton. You can walk to Heathrow from there.
Can you get a $99 LA to NYC (Newark probably) flight on Southwest then a cheap flight to London from there (more competition than from LA)?

it might be an issue with immigration. I know that if you're going to the US you usually have to have a return ticket to prove you're not going to be staying forever. It's quite possible the reverse is true, as they see the one way from the US to the UK and possibly assume you're not going to be going back any time soon.

I was only trying to cheapskate the flights so I could afford to stay at the Riot Hyatt, but in the end I decided to hell with it all, it's just money
