Mouse in the house!! Place your bets......
Just finished eating some toast- put the plate on the floor for a few mins while I finished emailing some invoices(no room on the desk).
Heard something on the plate -presumed it was a cat licking the butter from the plate as they inevitably do.
Looked down, and its a little mouse! It didnt run when i stood up- just carried on eating, then zipped off.
No idea where its come from- its on the third floor of the house too!
Its disappeared behind a wardrobe and a single cat is on guard duty after seeing it disappear......
Place your bets!
How long before one of the three (fat and lazy) cats manages to nab it?

You obviously don't have the type of BB guns my other half use to own when we lived at our last house ! I'll bet the new owners are still puzzling over the indentations in various walls around the house.
BTW. If a BB gun can sting the rear end of a squirrel enough to make it stay away for a few days, its sure to wipe out a teeny leetle meece .

Our little treasure bought two live mice into the bedroom last night, dropped them, let them escape through the skirting board and then wandered off. Came home tonight to find a sparrow-massacre upstairs and giblets on the carpet downstairs.
Think it might be time to PX her for a goldfish

Lasted 4.5 hours from initial sighting to termination.
The normal mouse catcher cat woke up, saw the mouse and pounced quickly.
Cat then proceeded to deliver its gift downstairs-clearly very proud.
I was contemplating keeping it as a pet too.........oh well

Tip of the iceberg normally.
I lived on the 2 top floors of a 5 storey house in C London and only ever saw the odd little mouse.
The owners got the professional exterminators in and they found and killed over 300 of the buggers, including all the nests.
Even after they went we still had mice. They are just hardly little *******.
Once they're in they are virtually impossible to get shot of!
You generally only ever see the small, inexperienced ones!
