Default bizarre Sky+ thing

We thought we were going mad a while back,wife started recording a programme half way through,but on playback it had recorded all of it?

And it happened to me tonight

how can it capture a programme after its started?

Happened to me last weekend,watched the first 25mins of the texas chainsaw massacre and recorded the rest.Next day started to watch where i left off and it started from the start and i had to mess about forwarding the first 25mins.

How it works? no idea.

yep,thats exactly what happened to me

if they transmit the whole prog for you its a bloody great feature,I'm a bit surprised though

It's cos it's constanly recording what you are watching so you can get the rewind function. Of the top of my head I think it's the last half an hour - so if you press record you get that buffer as well..

Correct, i remember something about the 30min bufffer when i had it setup by the sky guy who installed it.

Hello

As above, when you set up Sky+ you specify the length of time you wish to allow for "rewind". I believe the default is 15 minutes. When you hit "Record" it converts where you are -the buffer. Actually quite intelligent.

yep,in services you can set max rewind to 60mins,and ive had Sky+ for 3 years and never knew that
