Yesterday TB got up on his soap box and accused the Tories of opportunism following their announcement that they would stop the house re-branding process and review council taxes.

So what have NL announced today??

Now if that isn't a case of "Oh sh*t, we've been out done, never mind just come up with an even bigger lie to counter it" I don't know what is.

The Labour Party have never been fans of the Council Tax but have considered an alternative a low priority. If they win I doubt any replacement would get any further than the planning stage during the next government anyway. Is it a lie? It's probably a selective rendering of the truth.

You can be sure that whatever they replaced it with we would still all be *worse* off.

They need more and more of our cash to finance their endlessly profligate mismanagement.

Not all of us would roll over and take it up the a$$ for another 5 years. Some people are prepared to keep shouting until something happens, either somebody else gets in or NL buck their ideas up.

What I always fail to understand is why TB insists on using the word "opportunism" as his favourite insult / put-down. Surely trying to get the benefit from opportunities can be a good thing? Realising opportunities in some form or another is part of every successful enterprise.

Admittedly, that's far from the only thing BLiar says that I fail to understand.
