That's the exact reason he will have been chosen, the CC doesn't want the same head for a long period, as with the previous pontiff.

I'd have thought you'd have been more concerned with his views on multi-culturalism throughout europe moses. He definitely echoes his former youth group leader in his opinions on that subject.

Alledgedly. According to the BBC News 24 channel.

I like a bit of multi-culturalism moses. Keeps things in perspective. The new pope definitely don't agree though.

Moses, I thought you were a Muslim, why do you give a toss ?

Disclaimer

I am non religous but respect others right to beleive in whatever they choose to.

Anyway the new pope is 78, people have been known to live past 100. If he dies soon it's not like there will be a shortage of candidates, there's Billions of Catholics to be going at.

Pope's an easy job, should have gioven him MG R-over, or is that for Pope MGJohn, saying that where is MGJohn these days ?

yes im a muslim that means i give a bigger toss, he wasnt just a christian catholic guy, he was a nice and good human being and it would have been good to have a young one who will last the pace and be active instead of spending time in the hospital

and jacko mate i dont know much about his view on muticulturism, if he is against it he is entitled to his view but haha he is def gonna have a hard time coz their are more coloured catholics in the world that white ones or european ones even

i bet he would have liked multiculturism if he got to sleep with a nice mexican lassie or even kelly from liberty x

And theres me thinking the Pontiff is celibate, perhaps thats why they go for giffers to avoid any (more) sex scandals at the Vatican. Not that I am saying that someone of 78 cannot acheive sexual satisfaction (amen to that), or start a thread on more 'advanced' techniques that make their youngers blush for that matter !

To be honest, however nice and good JP was, he had some pretty old fashioned and downright unhelpful views on some subjects.

I am fairly well up on matters Muslim due to my mate Zahid at work (not optional, he never stops talking !), but do Muslims have and equivalent of the Pope ?, I am fairly certain the answer is no.

On the bright side they've elected JP's right hand man so plenty more of the same crap drummed into the Africans (fastest rise in numbers of Catholics) so no more rubbers and plenty more AIDS!

God bless religion!

He'll probably last longer than one of the Popes who was only in situ for 33 days.
