Convictions and certain jobs.
What convictions bar you from what jobs?
1.Accountant/financial advisor.....can you have any debt,financial related conviction,what about a CCJ,or even a bad credit rating.
2.Solicitor,what about say, petty theft as a youngster,or done for no motor insurance.
Is it zero tolerance in regard to the above?

depends on the conviction. Most convictions have a spent period after which they are no longer counted. There are of course some exceptions but small stuff usually has a period after which its spent and there is no need to declare them.

I think the Rehabilitation of Offenders will help out:

Basically some convictions can be spent, others can't and some professions don't allow any spent convictions.
A little light reading....
