What your tax pays for

What your tax pays for
The following organisation is "supported" by Transport 2000, an organisation for which you pay through your tax.
http://www.roadblock.org.uk/index.htm
"Road Block is an alliance of groups and individuals campaigning against road-building."
So you are paying for your own downfall. Road Block also state:
"Hopefully most campaigns will not get to the stage where direct action is needed, although Road Block will support community groups that wish to take peaceful direct action. Road Alert is a separate organisation that supports peaceful direct action against road building."
The Road Alert site gives you useful and interesting information such as:
"Using tools no different from the valient Vietnamese communists and with an equally powerfull enemy to defeat above them the tunnel protester of today has something to smile about - for didn't the Americans lose in Vietman?"
Now we know why only a small proportion of the taxes paid by motorists go back into the roads, the rest go to funding organisations opposed to roads and who like to compare themselves to "Vietnamese communists."
Don't forget that there is an election coming up. It might be useful to ask any politician who happens upon your doorstep to explain why the administation is funding an anti-road organisation with your money while using the lack of road development to impose a congestion charge upon you.

The administration. Those people who, I'm told, answer to us, pay huge grants each year to groups such as Transport 200. In turn Transport 2000, and others, spend our cash trying to drive us off the roads. Their latest assertions relating to the Kengestion Charge can be seen here, this is how our current administration indirectly persecute the motorist:
http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/a...ing%20Standard
Richard Bourn, London campaigner at Transport 2000, said: "The less traffic there is in central London the better.
"We believe it will soon be apparent that the charge is good for economy of central London and that retail and hospitality businesses will benefit from a street environment that is more inviting for people."
This in reply to a letter from top business interests in central London who are protesting at the charge. Then again there is no one those Vietnamise Communists hate more than large corporations.
